Is it me, or did Marc totally avoid the issue? (again)

November 11, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCaprise

Marc did totally avoid the issue.

I still want to know why "no shows for the next month" became "the show is done" became "we took less than a week off".

I wrote my email trusting that you guys would stick to what you said, and still be off the air now.

Remember those days of Behind the Unibrow when almost every single question came from me? Yeah, good times.

Haha. Great stuff!

You are all "Czars of Avoidance" (who will be on the side stage at this year's 'Monsters of Credibility Tour')

And, John, thank you for bringing the Nation's attention to the continuing plight of me, and the lack of a Hite Beer can on my coffee table. The Low Budget Barn is built upon a foundation of empty promises.

November 11, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAndy

A foundation of empty promises, spider remains, and possum excrement.

If I am part of your "wack pack" then what does that make Gio? I also don't have a job, as you might recall I am a stay at home dad who does some consulting. I am also a reserve city cop.

One day you will have to dig deep into the story of Marc. How does he go from a barely graduated Floridian to his current glory? Also, why are you poor now where a few months ago you said you were flush? You do know you are not supposed to rent your girl companion, right? I want to hear MUCH more about young Marc.

I also want to know what OS powers the Todbot. I guess ProDOS.

All kidding aside, Marc is probably the smartest person I know, and the fact that he tried to drop out of High School and failed to do so proves it (I really wish I had thought of that). But even the best of us can fall victim to an audio equipment purchasing addiction. Almost as bad as cocaine (and sometimes coupled with it, though not in Marc's case), it will drain your bank account with an absolute quickness. Have you looked up the price of microphones? They are friggin' expensive.

November 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterFreddyT

Awesome condenser mic with USB output that normally goes for 250 on sale for 99 at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001AS6OYC/ref=nosim/onlinetodaywithe

If you bought this for Tod you could record shittons of shows away from each other so we would never have to go through another almost break up, that shit is stressful, If I had a hundred bucks (i'm that low budget) I would buy this myself and send it to you.

wtf? send Andy a beer can already, seriously it's probably illegal if you don't do that by the end of the year, there are rules on prizes, Andy knows all about that already though doesn't he........

I loved this ep and hated it, Marc's avoidance was really annoying, just say it man!
Or don't say it but then just bury it so deep it never rears its head again and threatens LBfm, you have a responsibility to provide laughs to however many of us assholes listen to this thing each day, you owe us more comedy, we'll pay you(some of us will at least), you need to keep doing this for free or prostitute your comedy styling to the audience, one or the other, quitting is not an option you're in too deep.

Tod's opinion on that lady was very insightful and hilarious, perhaps I was too kind in my criticisms now knowing what Tod revealed about her character, she's bad news chambers, bad news, you're a podcasting god and you don't need to be sniffing around chasing some shit, do you know how much Asian chaunch there is in this world, I do know, there's a lot and you can have it man, you don't need this.

I'm with Tod, stick with this new gal have a great relationship when you eventually do something horrible intentional or otherwise and ruin it, I'll give you a 1st class ticket to the asian country of your choosing, just record a backlog of shows in case you start chasing the dragon and die in a hut somewhere

Freedy, I have no doubt they are expensive - which is shown by the ridiculous sound quality on the Carolla podcast and them using a 'my first podcast' setup.

I was not calling Marc stupid, he clearly isn't, but he seems to be ashamed of his lack of education. Some of the stupidest people I know have post graduate degrees, they might be educated, but are far from smart.

November 12, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterlaxdude

There is a great undiscussed difference between smart and intelligent(and wise for that matter) To be smart all you need is knowledge, to be intelligent you need to reason, to be wise you need to use your knowledge with your reasoning.
These idiots which laxdude brings up are simply smart a-holes who seek to define their success and superiority by their knowledge.

btw rly? this show is ranked so high on itunes and the comment posters and stickam ppl are always the usual suspects? i have a feeling the rest of the audience is super anti-social, virtually non functioning members of society.I'm curious to meet them we gotta have a listener party, i mean pgp had one, wtf?

November 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterFranz

Again Giovanni, NO ONE IS BUYING TOD A USB MIC EXCEPT TOD! Guy has tons of cash, and refuses to spend one dime on any equipment.

November 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterFreddyT

Then I'll just buy it.

You people don't value us the audience, you've made that clear Mr. Tinkle......

November 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterGiovanni G.

I think that a PGP listener party sounds like punishment. It crosses the line to torture is Sam Phillips or Whitman show up. But they draw large from the LA area that listened to Conway. Since LBFM drew mostly from the Carolla Boards as an off shoot of Behind the Unibrow they draw from all over the States if not the world.

November 12, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterlaxdude

Someone needs to explain to me EXACTLY what it is Tod does for JCrew.

"Some of the stupidest people I know have post graduate degrees, they might be educated, but are far from smart."

Hey LAXDUDE... I'm sitting right here. It's not like I don't know you're talking about me.

Too funny to hear the "break" brushed off like it was simply a pre-planned vacation. Marc... seriously.... I worry that you won't be as driven or as creative if you get the therapy (and possibly medication) you need to level you out... but DUDE... CHILL!

And Marc (pt. 2)... it warmed my heart to hear you doing plugs for NBC... keep it up, the babies need new shoes.

Maybe we all could crash a PGP party and turn it into a LBFM party? ....anybody with me? (Hey, I'll even bring a gunnysack along for Randy's head.)
