A gorilla weighs 440lbs, has soft hands and herbivorous teeth, and sits on its ass all day chewing on leaves.

Sending a gorilla in against a polar bear is like sending in a harbour seal against a killer whale.
Unless you have laser gorillas or those super smart ones that use weapons from that Chrichton book/movie..
And if you do that, you just have to get a polar bear with a missile system and CIWS defensive screen..
